When you’re getting started, you’ll hear the phrase “Content is king”. This is true if it’s quality content, well researched, useful to your target market and it’s well written.

By useful, I mean they can get something out of it. Actually getting information that they can get up, go and apply it. That’s what we mean when we say “Content is king.”

As far as keywords are concerned, you have to put the keywords into your content, especially the title, first paragraph and last paragraph so the content will get found in the search engines.

You don’t want to stuff keywords into your content that don’t making any sense. But you do want to include them where appropriate.

Content is everything. It brings people to your website, it helps to position you as an expert in your particular niche.

It shows people that you know what you’re talking about and that you have knowledge and experience in your particular area. That makes people want to continue to read your content or listen to your content through podcast and video.

You want to have your content in different formats. Text is very important because that’s how you get found in the search engines.

The spiders read text when they crawl your pages. But you also have to have video content, podcast content, social media content (facebook, twitter, linkedin, tumblr).

You should have a knowledge and passion for your subject, because you’re a publisher, you have to be constantly writing and recording content about your particular market.

So you’re going to have to spend a lot of time reading and researching that particular subject matter. If you don’t have a passion for it, it’s going to shine through.

People can tell whether you have a passion for a particular subject matter. It’s hard to fake it. So when you decide to pick a niche, you want to make sure you have a particular knowledge and interest in that area.

So coming into Internet marketing, whether you have info products, e-commerce or physical products, you are a publisher. You’re either constantly creating content or having content created for you, so that you can distribute it around the web.
