Use SEO Marketing To Plant Yourself In The Organic Search Engine Results

SEO Marketing is one of our favorite ways of securing our longevity in the search engines. In case you don't know, it is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. The definition for search engine optimization is quoted as:

"the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results."

Sounds fairly simple right? To make SEO marketing successful, it all boils down to fresh, original, quality content produced daily. Now if you're in a niche that's a passion for you, this shouldn't be difficult to do.

However, if you're in a niche just for the bottom line (which isn't always the best position to be in), you still have to find a way to produce high quality content daily and this might require outsourcing your content. Whichever you can do, by all means do it. Just make sure it's consistent and offers quality to your readers.

There are other methods of SEO marketing that are not limited to content on your main writing platform. Social media is a part of SEO because of the engagement and interaction power. Facebook business pages, for example, hold content that you place on them. If this content is quality, fresh, daily and original, the search engines will index it.

Another method is link building. Link building is the process of embedding links within your website content to the content you relay to outside websites. It's an effective way of establishing your link count in the search engines.

Another great strategy for SEO marketing is to build backlinks. Now link building and "backlinking" often get confused. While link building takes you from your site to another site, backlinks bring readers from another site to yours. It's a simple concept that involves technical procedure.

Backlinking is the process of getting content of yours onto another website of good quality. Within the article you submit, you want to have 2-3 links pointing back to 3 different areas of your site. It's often a win-win for you and the webmaster.

Whatever niche you're in, you're going to have competition. However, your competition is not who you want to target in your backlinking process. You want to find websites that are relevant and related to your subject. For example....

If you have a website on fitness, you wouldn't write an article and submit it to another fitness website. Instead, you would look for a website on diet and nutrition. Fitness is relevant and related to a healthy diet and good nutrition, so a web master with that kind of site would more than likely be happy to use an article from you.

SEO marketing plants you in the organic search engines, but all of your efforts will go in vein if your keywords are not focused and of good quality. Whatever strategies you're using, the results depend on the power of your keywords. If you have a keyword that is of low search volume, you might write 20 pieces of content to rank for that word and get results in the bare minimum and that's NOT what you want.

SEO marketing is a tedious process and it takes time so don't let all of your hard work go to waste because of poor due diligence. First get your keywords together that you want to rank for. That's going to be the most important step so do it carefully.
